Kosovo's national broadcaster RTK announces that the submission period for Kosovo's RTK Song Festival is officially open! Aspiring musicians and seasoned artists alike can now submit their entries for a chance to shine on the Kosovo's most celebrated stage.


A Brief History of the RTK Song Festival

The RTK Song Festival, also known as Festivali i Këngës, is a renowned music competition organized by Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK). Since its debut last year, the festival has been a significant cultural event, showcasing a diverse array of musical talents from across the nation. This year with the second edition, it is on the way to become a beloved tradition and it will be celebrated for its contribution to the promotion of Kosovo's musical heritage and contemporary artistry.

 

Submission Details

Artists interested in participating can submit their songs through the festival's official website. The submission period is open now, and the deadline for entries is not announced yet. Whether you're a solo performer, a band, or a songwriter, this is your opportunity to be part of an iconic event.

 

Kosovo in Eurovision 2025

Kosovo's public broadcaster, RTK, plans to apply for participation in Eurovision 2025 this June. Chairman Besnik Boletini announced the intent at a recent event, expressing hopes for a favorable response from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). It is unclear if RTK will seek EBU membership or just an invitation to the contest. RTK aims to use the festival, Festivali i Këngës në RTK, to select Kosovo's representative. However, Kosovo's participation is uncertain due to its disputed international status.
