A new YouGov public opinion poll has asked Britons what they believe is behind the United Kingdom’s recent struggles at the Eurovision Song Contest. The survey, conducted on 18 September 2026 among 5,631 adults in Great Britain , presented respondents with two possible explanations: whether the UK’s poor results are mainly caused by its choice of singers and songs, or whether other countries are voting politically. The results show that more respondents point to political voting than to the UK’s own song and artist choices.
