Merkel, best known as a member of Alcazar , and Rolinski, the former frontman of BWO , are now performing together as Merkel & Rolinski as a duo. Moldova’s Eurovision 2026 promotional campaign, “Moldova is on Duty!” , has been presented as an example of best practice to other participating delegations. The presentation took place during a workshop organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) on September 15 in Tivat, Montenegro. The event brought together delegations participating in the Eurovision Song Contest. According to Moldovan media outlet Realitatea.md, Moldova was the only country invited to present its promotional strategy during a session dedicated to the participating delegations.  The Versus Artist team presented how the “Moldova is on Duty!” campaign was developed around Moldovan representative Satoshi , whose Eurovision 2026 participation became the focus of the campaign. Eurovision 2026 winner DARA is continuing her international success, as her winning song “Bangaranga” was featured on the latest season of the US version of Dancing With the Stars . The new season of the popular American dance show has opened with a spectacular performance featuring “Bangaranga”, bringing the Eurovision winning track to one of the biggest entertainment markets in the world. In the performance, professional dancers took to the floor for an energetic cha-cha-cha , dancing to DARA’s Eurovision hit. The song has continued to appear in international settings following its Eurovision victory. It was also recently heard on Spanish television during the European Artistic Swimming Championships, performed by Bulgaria’s national team. Now, with “Bangaranga” reaching American television through Dancing With the Stars , DARA’s Eurovision-winning anthem is continuing its journey far beyond the Eurovision stage. A new petition in Hungary is calling for the country to return to the Eurovision Song Contest , more than seven years after its last participation. The petition, published on the Hungarian civic platform SzabadaHang , is addressed to Zoltán Tarr, Minister for Social Relations and Culture , as well as other decision-makers. It calls for the necessary steps to be taken to bring Hungary back to Eurovision and, if possible, send a Hungarian artist to the next available edition of the contest. Hungary has not participated in Eurovision since 2019 . According to the petition, an entire generation has grown up without being able to support a Hungarian performer on one of Europe's biggest music stages. Spain’s Eurovision future is set to become clearer this week, as RTVE prepares to decide whether the country will return to the contest in 2027. The Spanish public broadcaster RTVE is expected to make a decision this week on Spain’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 , following the country’s controversial withdrawal from the 2026 competition. According to Spanish media reports, the RTVE Board of Directors will meet on Wednesday, September 16 , to discuss whether Spain should participate in next year’s contest in Burgas, Bulgaria .
